Moisturizing and hydrating Carrot facial mask for home!

9 Aug

Carrots aren’t only good for your eyesight. The beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant that can help clear up acne or blemishes n the skin, in addition to smoothing the texture of the skin. Many salons, spas and Skincare lines offer rich carrot masks as professional treatments. Due to the high cost of these treatments, I felt inspired to create my own mask that was less expensive, and just as effective for my clients to try at home. In no way will this mask eliminate the need for a deeper facial treatment, but its a great way to maintain the results you see from a visit to your spa.

Ingredients :

2 carrots (chop, boil, then mash)
2 tablespns organic honey
1 tsp coconut oil or wheat germ oil
2 drops geranium essential oil

Mash the products together while the carrots are still warm, and as the mask begins to cool then spread onto clean, damp skin. Leave on for approximately 10 minutes, rinse and moisturizer as usual.

You may sub the essential oil out if you aren’t having active breakouts, or prefer a different scent. However, geranium is wonderful for clearing the skin.

With some wonderful household items, and produce you can have glowing, healthy skin sooner than you think.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this treatment if you try it…
